CIBMRD Placement Process
CIBMRD Placement Process aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. The placement process at CIBMRD is as follows:-
CIBMRD Summer Internship Programmes
As a compulsory part of curriculum, MBA students are required to undergo Summer Internship with an organization for a period of approx. 8-10 weeks. The selection process for Summer Placements starts after the first semester for the first year students. The period of Summer Internship is normally from the beginning of May to the end of June (Subject to their University examination schedule).
CIBMRD Final Placements
This process is usually initiated in the month of January every year, although recruitment through Pre-Placements (PPO) and lateral process for students with prior work experience can happen till at least a fortnight before the Final Placements.
For each of these processes, the following Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is adhered to:
Step 1: Members from companies interact with students on campus through Business Thought Leadership Sessions, Guest Lectures, Live Projects, and other Corporate Forums
Step 2: Student profiles and other relevant details are shared with companies
Step 3: The companies conduct Pre-Placements Talks to give in-depth information about them including the roles and profiles being.
Step 4: Applications are invited and resumes of interested applicants are shared with the companies
Step 5: Based on factors such as profiles and locations and student’s perceptions and areas of interest, companies are ranked and invited on campus
Step 6: Companies conduct their selection process which typically comprises of CV based listing, group discussions and interviews.
Step 7: Final results are announced by the companies soon after the final placement interviews are over.

Placements at CIBMRD results in increasing faith that the industry has on the institution.
Placement Committee
Placement process at CIBMRD is a student managed activity. However, recognizing the by attached to corporate relations and placements, there is a Placement Committee to provide overall supervision and direction to recruitment related engagements and activities taking place on campus. This committee consists of Faculty in-charge Corporate Relations, student co-ordinators and a group of faculty members who work in close coordination with the student representatives.
